At COP 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, it was decided that the Bureau would finalize the Assessment of the Global Mechanism by the Joint Inspection Unit (JIU) of the United Nations System. In its most recent meeting, the Bureau decided to engage external expertise so as to assist the Bureau in conducting this evaluation.
